Nayantara is her daughter and she is in the IIT. Nikhil is her son. She and her family live with her mother, Saro and her grandmother, Lily in a lovely old house in Bangalore. In the beginning of the novel, Meera, Giri, and their son participate in the party. In these, She always wants to be with Giri, but he suggests to her to mingle with others.
